What you can expect
SIGHTSEEING TOUR OF THE ROSARIO ISLANDS AND SNORKELING
This adventure is perfect for both beginners and experienced snorkelers, guaranteeing an exciting day in the Colombian Caribbean Sea. Join us for a memorable exploration of the stunning aquatic beauty of our islands.
We will start our tour at 8:00 AM after picking you up at the door of your hotel or at our meeting point in Cartagena das Índias. From there, we will head to the Barú Peninsula in air-conditioned transportation.
Along the way, we'll take a scenic drive through Cartagena de Indias, admiring the landscape of the city's great bay. We'll get to know the different neighborhoods along the coast, including Mamonal, where Colombia's most important petrochemical industries are located.
After crossing a bridge that opened in 2014, we'll reach the island of Baru. This peninsula is separated from the rest of the region by a wide canal built in the 16th century, so the locals have always considered it an island.
Once we reach the island, we'll take a speedboat and head out into the open sea, enjoying the grandeur and majesty of the Caribbean Sea while taking a sightseeing tour of the Rosario Islands.
We'll make a 30-minute stop at one of the islands to go snorkeling. Don't worry about the masks; we'll put them on for you.
Then we'll go to Playa Blanca in Barú to enjoy a delicious typical Cartagena lunch of coconut rice, patacones, salad, and fried fish at a local restaurant. After that, you can relax by the sea or explore Playa Blanca to enjoy a day of sun on the beach. You can lie on the golden sand and stroll by the sea.
Finally, we will conclude this 7-hour excursion by returning to the starting point in Cartagena.
