What you can expect

Our tour begins near the Torres de Serranos. As we explore El Carmen, I’ll show you street artists and cool places like the Centro del Carmen and the quirky Cathouse of Valencia. We’ll cycle through the lively neighbourhood, crossing Calle Caballeros and pointing out important churches, landmarks, tapas bars, and vintage shops. We’ll chat about Horchata, the local soft drink.

We’ll visit the Plaza del Mercado, the heart of Valencia, and take in Mercado Central, Santos Juanes, and La Lonja. I’ll share stories about this vibrant area and suggest the best places for local Valencian breads, pastries, craft beers, and vermutería. We’ll stop to discuss the most important dish in Valencia, Paella, where the locals eat it and when!

We’ll move onto Plaza de la Reina to point out the main entrance of the Cathedral and chat about this beautiful plaza and the bell towers worth climbing! Next, we’ll swing past Plaza de la Virgen, where we’ll point out the Palacio de la Generalitat and the fantastic Basílica Virgen de Los Desamparados. Then, we’ll head to the Museo Arqueológico de L’Almoina for Roman Valencia, passing by local tapas bars and cool gift shops.

We’ll cycle past the Centro de Arte Hortensia Herrero and the Museo Nacional de Cerámica, for all your arts needs, situated in two of the most beautiful city houses. I’ll let you know when it’s open and what you should see. Also, where to try the local cocktail, Agua de Valencia.

After that, we’ll head to the city centre, Plaza del Ayuntamiento, where you’ll find the City Hall, the stunning old Post Office, Bull Fighting arena, and the Estació del Nord train station. We can chat about the Fallas, Batman, football, basketball, tapas bars, rooftop bars, shopping, and where to find the best bocadillos in Valencia.

We’ll cycle past the Old University and The Church of the Patriarch in Plaza del Patriarca. I’d suggest some great spots for lunch, local beers, and pastries around there. Then, we’ll cycle to the shopping area of Colon, passing the Gardens of Glorieta, and gorgeous Mercado de Colon for a pitstop for refreshments and toilet. In the heart of the shopping area, I’ll give you some tips and recommendations in this more local part of the city.

Next, we’ll visit River Turia park, going over the lovely floral bridge into the park. We’ll cycle past Palau de la Música and Gulliver, on our way to the futuristic City of Arts & Sciences! We’ll take in the magnificent Sci-Fi buildings and the surrounding area. At the end of the park, we’ll head to the Port and the Marina, cycling onto the F1 Circuit, past the America’s Cup building to the beach for snacks and a drink, before cycling back through the awesome river park!
