What you can expect
Fotografiska, the Contemporary Museum of Photography, Art & Culture, is the global destination for photography and visual storytelling.
Set in the heart of Berlin within a 115 year old landmark, the museum’s building has reflected the city’s transformation over the decades—from a grand shopping arcade in the early 20th century to the iconic Kunsthaus Tacheles, an artists’ squat and cultural hub in the early 2000s. Carefully restored, it has been home to Fotografiska Berlin since 2023, continuing its legacy of creativity, cultural exchange, and public discourse.
Across three floors, Fotografiska showcases the work of both renowned and emerging artists exploring photography and visual art in all its forms—from classic prints to digital media and multidisciplinary installations. The museum features exhibitions that change almost every month and a dynamic events programme.
Past exhibitions have included names such as Andy Warhol, Shirin Neshat, Omar Victor Diop, Shepard Fairey, Rinko Kawauchi, Viviane Sassen, Lebohang Kganye, TOILETPAPER, and Diana Markosian.
Guests can enjoy a full culinary experience, with options ranging from coffee and casual bites at Fotografiska’s Café Bar to cocktails at Bar Clara and elevated dining at Restaurant Verōnika. Guests can enjoy drinks in all exhibition spaces. On the ground floor, a curated concept store offers posters, books, gifts, and design objects inspired by current and past exhibitions.
