What you can expect

Berlin reveals another side of its charm by night: more sensual, more evocative, more atmospheric and more photogenic. Join us for a walk through Berlin after the traffic has subsided and a serene calm descends upon the city.

Begin your nighttime walking tour at the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin's most famous monument. Stroll through Parisian Square, home to the U.S. and French Embassies, and the famous Hotel Adlon.

Continue to the site of Hitler's bunker, now a parking lot, and learn about its history. Visit the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, a vast plaza of irregular blocks that abstractly convey the horrors of the Holocaust.

See the Victory Column of Berlin from afar, and admire the Reichstag Building, a symbol of the Nazi regime. Walk along the Spree River, passing some of the city's best new architecture.

Stop at Friedrichstraße and the Palace of Tears, a departure hall for West Berliners who made trips to visit friends and family in the East. Then, walk through Museum Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to some of the world's most important museums.

Admire the Berlin Cathedral, the largest Protestant church in Germany, and Bebelplatz, home to the Pantheon-inspired St. Hedwig's Catholic Cathedral and the State Opera House.

See the Berlin TV Tower from afar, and pass by Humboldt University, where Karl Marx, Engels, and Einstein taught. Stop at the Bebelplatz Book Burning Memorial, commemorating the loss of tens of thousands of works in 1933.

Next up, thethe Gendarmenmarkt, known for its architecture ensemble of the Concert Hall, the French Cathedral, and the German Cathedral.

Finally, your tour ends at Checkpoint Charlie, the best known Berlin wall crossing point from East to West. It was located in the American quarter, serving as a face off between the USA and the western world and the USSR and the communist world. It was the site of John F. Kennedy's famous Berlin speech and has been featured in countless movies and novels.

There are taxi stands as well as U-Bahn (Subway) & S-Bahn (Regional Train), and Bus Stops near the last stop as well as restaurants and bars.
