By bike, we will explore the turbulent history of this fascinating city together at a leisurely pace. The route is varied, with historical highlights, moving stories, and surprising perspectives.
Our adventure begins at Checkpoint Charlie, probably the most famous border crossing point between East and West Berlin. Here we dive straight into the time of the Cold War.
Just a few minutes further on, we reach the Topography of Terror. At this impressive site, we take a look at the dark history of National Socialism
Immediately afterwards, we head for the place that is almost invisible today, but was once the control center of the Nazi regime: the former Fuehrerbunker.
A little later, we will be at the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, one of the most moving places in Berlin. Here, your guide will give you an easy-to-understand insight into the history and significance of this memorial.
From here, we continue on to the beautiful Tiergarten, the green heart of the city. One of the largest city parks – then take a 30-minute break to refuel with a drink or snack
Refreshed, we cycle to the Victory Column, one of Berlin's most famous landmarks. The golden “Else” looks proudly over the city.
Our route then takes us past Bellevue Palace, the official residence of the Federal President, which is located directly on the Spree.
Directly along the Spree on the Reichstag bank, we ride into the government district, past the modern Chancellery with its striking architecture, to the historic Reichstag building. Here, past and present merge in a very special way – your guide will take you on a journey through the history of German democracy, from the German Empire to the present-day Federal Republic.

The Brandenburg Gate follows immediately afterwards, a symbol of German unity and perhaps the most famous photo spot in the city. Here we take time to soak up the special atmosphere; any visit to Berlin would simply be incomplete without this place.
Then it's off to Museum Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the middle of the River Spree. This is where five of the most important museums in Germany meet. Even if we don't go inside, you'll get fascinating insights into the architectural history and significance of this unique ensemble.
Finally, we roll to the stylish Gendarmenmarkt, which is considered one of the most beautiful squares in Europe with the German and French Cathedrals and the Konzerthaus.
