Overview

  • The impressive mountain scenery and the beautiful landscape of the Berchtesgadener Land will definitely fascinate you. A special bus and lift take you up to the Eagle's Nest at an altitude of 1,834m where you will be rewarded with spectacular views.
Our guide will give a comprehensive summary of the historical events and answer any questions. Afterwards, we will have a short stop in the town of Berchtesgaden.
The return journey via the German alpine road shows you the impressive valleys of Bavaria.
In the event of bad weather conditions (fog, ice, snow) which make a trip up to the Eagle's Nest impossible, we offer a longer visit in the documentation center and the town of Berchtesgaden.

We’ll depart at 8:30 a.m. and drive past several Munich landmarks (which the guide will explain) on our way to Eagles Nest/Obersalzberg. Don't forget your passport!!!

The Eagle's Nest

  • 1h 30m
This part of the tour can no longer be offered because the Eagles' Nest burned down on October 23! Our guides are offering an additional walking tour of the Obersalzberg! In addition, we will spend more time at the “Documatation Obersalzberg” (for a fee) and in the town of Berchtesgaden.

Obersalzberg

  • 40m
Our guides are offering an additional walking tour of the Obersalzberg! You will also have free time. During this time, you can have lunch at the "Berggasthof Obersalzberg" (at your own expense) or go directly to the Obersalzberg Documentation Center. The restaurant is located in the terrace hall of the former “General Walker” hotel, making it a historic building on the Obersalzberg.

Dokumentationszentrum Obersalzberg

  • 40m
  • Admission ticket not included
The Obersalzberg Museum traces the history of Obersalzberg as a center of power during the Nazi era. It is a very interesting exhibition that reopened in 2023 following renovation and expansion. There, you can also tour the bunker complexes from the Nazi era. Admission fee is 4,50 Euro per person.

Berchtesgaden

  • 45m
After a short drive, you’ll get off the tour bus in the center of Berchtesgaden. Our experienced tour guide will lead you on a walking tour through the town, pointing out some of the main sights and explaining the history of Berchtesgaden over the course of about 20–30 minutes. After another about 30 minutes of free time in town, all participants will meet back at the bus for the return trip.
