What you can expect

  • Begin your journey in a charming local setting where you'll learn to prepare some of Berat’s most beloved traditional dishes, using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Under the guidance of a local host, get hands-on with recipes of 3 traditional dishes like:
    • Byrek
    • Meatballs
    • Stuffed peppers
    • Tavë kosi
    • Fërgesë
    • Lakror
while learning the cultural stories behind each dish.

While the dishes simmer, enjoy a guided tasting (1 wine + 2 raki) of locally produced Albanian wines, including varieties unique to the Berat region.

Learn about native grape varieties, depending on the menu of the day, such as:
    • Puls (Pules)
    • Shesh i Zi
    • Shesh i Bardhe
    • Kallmet

and discover how each wine complements the flavors of traditional cuisine.

No Albanian table is complete without raki — and you’ll taste it the local way. Sample artisanal raki made from grapes, plums, or mulberries, and hear the stories and traditions behind Albania’s most iconic spirit.

At the end, we will send you a photo from the activity and the recipes.
