Immerse yourself in Dominican culture with a private cooking class in Bayahibe, designed for 2 to 4 people to ensure an intimate and authentic experience. Held in the evening starting at 6:00 PM, this activity takes place in a traditional and welcoming setting where you’ll learn directly from our Dominican chef, who will guide you step by step in preparing a true Creole meal: Creole-style fish, plantains, cassava, and Dominican rice, all cooked using the techniques and flavors found in Caribbean homes.
This experience does not include a separate guide—the interaction is entirely direct with the chef, making it as genuine and immersive as possible. For this reason, basic Spanish skills are recommended for smooth communication. If needed, a Tropical Evasion assistant can join you to help with translation; this service is available upon request and comes with an additional fee.
After this warm and friendly cooking session, you’ll enjoy a well-deserved aperitif, followed by the tasting of the delicious meal you’ve prepared. The atmosphere, 100% Caribbean, invites laughter, cultural exchanges, and memorable moments. To extend the experience, your chef will even encourage you to try a few Dominican dance steps, allowing you to fully embrace the local spirit.
This immersive and authentic activity is perfect for travelers who want to discover the Dominican Republic through its flavors, traditions, and heartfelt hospitality.
