Batanes is an archipelago located in the northernmost part of the Philippines. The entire province covers a mere 230 square kilometers, making it the smallest province in the nation. In addition to its limited land area, Batanes also has the lowest population in the Philippines.
Owing to its geographical position, the province frequently experiences strong winds, earning it the moniker “Home of the Winds.” The small population has contributed to an environment that remains largely unspoiled by pollution, featuring expansive pasturelands. The region is also home to charming lighthouses and a variety of livestock, including horses and cows that roam freely in the fields.
