During this excursion, we visited Villa Traful, located on the shores of the lake of the same name, and then Villa La Angostura.

The trip starts from Bariloche along Route 40, crossing the Ñireco Stream, the Nirihuau River and the westernmost part of Lake Nahuel Huapi, as well as the Limay River, which marks the border between the provinces of Río Negro and Neuquén.

We drive through the pampas of Newbery until we reach Rincón Chico. Following the Limay River towards Rincón Grande, we find the Natural Amphitheater, whose shape is reminiscent of a great Roman circus.

The route continues towards the Enchanted Valley. A few kilometers away, we arrive at the Confluencia, where the Traful and Limay rivers meet. After passing through beautiful coihue forests, we follow the Traful River and, 4 km before reaching the town of the same name, we arrive at the Traful viewpoint, which offers an impressive panorama.

After visiting the village, we head towards Puerto Arrayán and then to El Portezuelo, where the road connects with Route 234, also known as the Route of the Seven Lakes.

Following this scenic route and crossing dense forests, we pass by Lake Espejo and arrive at Villa La Angostura, where we will have free time for lunch and explore the town center.

Afterwards, we visit the port of Villa La Angostura, the Mansa and Brava bays, and the emblematic mansions La Residencia and El Mesidor. The return is along Route 231, passing Puerto Manzano and bordering the Huemul arm of Lake Nahuel Huapi, before taking a road through several elevations across the Huemul Peninsula, finally connecting with Route 237 to return to Bariloche.
