What you can expect

Begin your day with a pickup from your accommodation after breakfast. Meet your English-speaking guide and start your sightseeing tour of Bangalore, exploring its royal heritage, historic temples, and lush gardens.

Your first stop will be the Bangalore Palace, a magnificent royal residence belonging to the Wodeyar Kings of Mysore. Built in Tudor style, the palace features fortified towers, battlements, and turrets. The interiors showcase elegant wood carvings, floral motifs, and beautiful paintings, while the furniture reflects Edwardian and Victorian styles. The palace bears a striking resemblance to Windsor Castle in England and offers a glimpse into the grandeur of a bygone era.

Next, visit Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, an exquisite example of Indo-Islamic architecture. This elegant wooden palace was the summer retreat of Tipu Sultan, famously known as the “Tiger of Mysore.” The interiors feature carved arches, balconies, and floral decorations, reflecting the artistic and cultural richness of the Mysore kingdom.

Continue to the Bull Temple, one of the oldest temples in Bangalore, dedicated to Nandi Bull, the sacred vehicle of Lord Shiva. Located in Basavanagudi, the temple was built by Kempe Gowda, the founder of Bangalore, in traditional Dravidian architectural style. The huge granite statue of Nandi attracts devotees and visitors from across the country.

Afterward, drive past the majestic Vidhana Soudha, the seat of the Legislative Assembly of Karnataka. Constructed entirely from granite, this grand building stands nearly 46 meters tall and features four domes on each corner. It houses more than 300 rooms for different government departments and is considered one of the most impressive landmarks in Bangalore.

Your next destination is the Lalbagh Botanical Garden, a 240-acre green paradise in the heart of the city. Established by Hyder Ali in 1760, this garden is home to more than 1,800 species of plants, trees, and flowers. Lalbagh is also famous for its Glass House, inspired by London’s Crystal Palace, and hosts the city’s world-renowned flower show.

Conclude your tour with a visit to the ISKCON Temple, located on a hilltop. This temple is part of the global movement founded by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1966. Dedicated to Lord Krishna, ISKCON Bangalore combines modern architecture with spiritual serenity and promotes the practice of bhakti yoga through devotion, music, and meditation.

After sightseeing, you will be dropped back at your accommodation, carrying wonderful memories of Bangalore’s royal charm, cultural heritage, and peaceful spirituality.
