What you can expect

  • Calakmul should be the adventure you remember — not the logistics you had to solve.

Planning a day at Calakmul can quickly turn into hours of comparing transportation, looking for a reliable guide, checking forums, calculating driving times, and wondering whether the people you hire actually know the place.

With us, that work is already done.

From the door of your accommodation in Bacalar, your group travels directly to Calakmul in a private air-conditioned SUV, minivan or van sized for your group — never a sedan, giving you the space and comfort a long journey deserves.

One booking gives you the transportation, coordination, a clear and simple itinerary, and an experienced professional guide dedicated to your group.

Our Calakmul guides include experienced professionals such as Armando, Geovany and Abel, along with other trusted guides in our team. They know the site far beyond a memorized script, bringing the ancient city to life through stories, details, questions and discoveries while adapting the pace to your group.

Choose the version that fits your day best:

    Calakmul Ruins Only
Explore the archaeological site with your expert guide.
Calakmul Ruins + Jungle Hike or Bat Cave
Add one extra experience: choose either the jungle hike or the Bat Cave.
Calakmul Ruins + Jungle Hike + Bat Cave
The complete experience: ruins, jungle and Bat Cave.

Entry tickets are paid directly at the official ticket office instead of being bundled into the tour, helping avoid added costs on the ticket value.

A restaurant stop is already considered in the day, but it is completely optional. Your group can stop for a meal or bring a box lunch and continue with the itinerary. Food is paid directly at the restaurant if you decide to stop.

If you choose the Bat Cave, the day ends with one of the region’s most remarkable natural spectacles. Near sunset, over 3 million bats emerge from the cave, forming a living stream that rises and stretches across the evening sky.

This experience is designed for families and groups of friends traveling together. Your vehicle and guide remain private to your party, and the more of you travel together, the better the value per person.

Tours are normally available in English or Spanish. For French or Italian, contact us before booking to discuss available guide options.
