What you can expect

This tour begins in Yerevan and heads towards Tbilisi, Georgia. Once you have arrived, you will have time to explore the most beautiful places in Tbilisi. Get an overview of the history of the city from its early origins to nowadays by walking through its narrow streets and admiring both its religious and secular architecture. You will find churches, synagogues, mosques, as well as famous 19th Century houses with wooden balconies.

Commonly known as Sameba, Tbilisi’s kitsch cathedral is located on Elia Hill above the left bank of the Mtkvari in the historic neighborhood of Avlabari. It is the main Georgian Orthodox Cathedral and is the third-tallest Eastern Orthodox Cathedral in the world. Sameba was constructed between 1995 and 2004 and paid for by anonymous donations from citizens and several wealthy businessmen. Stop here during your day tour to admire it for yourself.

During this day trip you will also visit the Jvari Monastery and other key sights in the region.
