Experience life over 2,000 years ago as you walk in the footsteps of warriors to the ancient Navan Fort, site of the great temple of 95 BC. Your guide will explain how and why this impressive ceremonial structure was built, as well as highlighting the importance of the surrounding sites in the Navan complex. Immerse yourself in the Iron Age, as you learn about how the Celts lived over 2000 years ago in early Ireland! Tours last approximately 2 hours and include a guided tour to Navan Fort, audio visual show on mythology, exhibition space housing some of the main artefacts from the area and meeting our resident Celtic clan (Living History characters available April-September).
Please note: On Saturdays & Sundays (and daily in July and August) our 12:30pm tour is a family tour, Meet the Warriors, where you can immerse yourself in life as a Celt, providing the opportunity to become a central part of the clan! The tour includes storytelling, warrior skills training and the opportunity to dress as a Celt. The 12:30pm weekend tour does not include a guided walk to Navan Fort, although guests are welcome to walk to the site after their tour.
