Start: 6:00 am.
6:15 am. Pick up from different hotels in the city of Arequipa.
We will travel for 2.30 hours to San Antonio de Chuca (Arequipa - Puno Highway, Km. 154); previously we will have breakfast (not included in the price of the tour).
We will walk 1 km, a short and somewhat cold route, so you should bring a windbreaker jacket.
When we arrive at the Pillones waterfalls we will see rocks moulded by the erosion of the water, we will see vizcachas jumping between the rocks. You can go down to the waterfall but be very careful, once there you can take pictures and enjoy the warm climate, flora and fauna of the region.
We will change the noisy car horns for the sound of falling water, energizing us and enjoying a hidden piece of Arequipa.
After visiting the beautiful waterfalls of Pillones, we will head towards the “Bosque de Piedras” of Imata 150 km northeast of Arequipa (road to Puno, approximately 2.30 hours by car).
We will arrive at the picturesque village of Imata and with our guide we will start the trek of approximately 30 minutes into the forest.
The landscape has no comparison, the forest of stones of Imata is a natural place with strange rock formations and stony columns, where your imagination and fun will have no limits, you can take pictures and play with the shadows.
Finally on the way back, in coordination with the passenger, we will stop for lunch.
On the way back to the city you will see a protected place as part of the reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca where there are plenty of South American camelids.
Return to Arequipa.
