DAY 1: AREQUIPA - CRUZ EL CONDOR - SANGALLE

We start our adventure picking us up from the hotel between 3:00 and 3:30am, we will board our transportation, which will take us to Chivay in a 3 hrs trip approx. At 6:00am we will be having our delicious breakfast in a tourist restaurant, and we will continue our tour for another hour of travel, until we arrive at the Cruz del Condor viewpoint, from where we can appreciate the shape of the canyon and the magnificent flight of the condors.

Continuing on our transport, we will pass through the villages of Cabanaconde and La Pampa de San Miguel, this is the point where we will begin our hike appreciating the interior of the canyon with views of the villages that we will visit along our journey.

We will continue to the town of San Juan de Chucho, where we will have lunch after a walk of 4hrs approx, then we will go to Sangalle 3 hrs approx, incredible place located in the heart of the canyon and on the side of the Colca River. On the way we will also visit the villages of Cosñirhua and Malata where we will see a small museum. In the valley of Sangalle, we will have the opportunity to enjoy its pools, we will have dinner and spend our first night in a rustic refuge.

Description of the Refugio:
Simple shared rooms.
Keep in mind that in this area there is no electricity, internet, it is in the middle of the canyon. This will be a night to disconnect and flow with nature and the beautiful stars.

DAY 2: SANGALLE - CABANACONDE - AREQUIPA

Very early at 5:00am approx, we will start the hike to the town of Cabanaconde 03 hrs of ascent approx. Arriving there we will enjoy a delicious breakfast, there we will wait for our transport that will take us back to Chivay, on the way we will make some stops in places of interest to take pictures and appreciate beautiful views. 11:30am we will go to the thermal baths.

12:30m Lunch in Chivay (at the passenger's expense) 13:30pm approx. We start our return to Arequipa, we will stop at the viewpoint of the volcanoes (highest point 4,910masl), in the wetlands of Tocra where we can appreciate the diversity of wild birds, herds of alpacas and llamas; in Pampa Cañahuas we will observe herds of vicuñas (part of the National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Salinas) the beautiful South American camelid possessor of one of the finest fibers in the world. 17:30pm approx. Arrival to Arequipa.
