What you can expect

Begin your journey with a private pickup from your hotel. Leave the bustling city behind and head north toward the mighty Pyrenees. Unlike group tours, your private guide adapts to your pace. If you want to stop for a panoramic photo of the Montserrat massif or a quick coffee in a stone-built village, simply pull over.

Upon crossing the border into Andorra, one of the world’s smallest and most unique countries, feel the shift in atmosphere. This is a land of Romanesque churches, duty-free shopping, and jagged peaks.

Ascend to the breathtaking Mirador del Roc del Quer lookout point. Walk out onto a suspended platform over the valley, offering a “top of the world” sensation that is truly unforgettable.

Explore the historic heart of the capital, Andorra la Vella. Walk through the Barri Antic (Old Quarter) to see the Casa de la Vall, the historic seat of one of Europe’s oldest parliaments. If time permits, drive through the Ordino valley, often cited as the most beautiful parish in the country, where slate-roofed houses blend seamlessly into the green slopes.

As you descend back toward the lowlands, the scenery softens into rolling hills and neatly lined trellises. Leave the granite of the mountains for the rich soils of the Costers del Segre or Pre-Pyrenees wine regions.

Be welcomed into a private, boutique winery (Celler). This isn't just a tasting; it’s an education in “High Altitude Viticulture.” Walk through the barrel rooms where the wine sleeps in French oak. Your host will explain how the dramatic temperature shifts between day and night in this region create wines with exceptional acidity and intense aromas.

Seated in a private tasting room overlooking the vines, sample four premium wines. This typically includes a crisp, mineral white, followed by complex, full-bodied reds (Syrah or Cabernet Sauvignon), and perhaps a local sparkling wine to finish. The wines are accompanied by a selection of local artisanal cheeses, cured Iberian meats, and traditional pa amb tomàquet (bread with tomato and extra virgin olive oil).
