Activity itinerary

Basílica de Santa Maria (Pass by)

You now arrive in front of the beautiful facade of the Basilica of Santa Maria. This is the oldest church in Alicante!

Casa Carbonell (Pass by)

This impressive building, so symbolic of the explanada España, is known as Casa Carbonell. It is a private Inn built in the 1920s by Juan Vidal Ramos, who owes much of the architectural heritage of the Alicante region.

Alicante (Pass by)

This new elevated walkway allows you to enjoy a pleasant walk by the sea while admiring the 360°C view. You can see behind you the marina of Alicante and its beautiful boats docked.

Alicante (Pass by)

Then you have here the entrance for the elevator that takes you to the castle site, at the top of Mount Benacantil. After reflection, we decided to offer you access by elevator, although it is a paid service, which we never do.

Castell de Santa Bàrbera (Pass by)

There we are, we have reached the summit of Mount Benacantil. If there are any among you who have climbed on foot, congratulations! You made a route of more than 3 kilometers and reached 169 meters high.

Cara Del Moro Monument (Pass by)

Taking the Ereta Park down to the old town allows you to have beautiful views of the sparkling bay of Alicante. Balconies and views are plentiful on the way, so take your time and beautiful photos obviously!

Ermita de la Santa Creu d'Alacant (Pass by)

At the foot of Santa Barbara Castle, on the slopes of Mount Benancatil, is the picturesque Santa Cruz district, known as the Cuna de Alicante, the birthplace of the city.

Mercat Central d'Alacant (Pass by)

Here you are in front of a real institution in Alicante, its Central Point of Sale. A visit to a city is not complete, without having penetrated its gastronomic den, these halls.

Teatro Principal de Alicante (Pass by)

On your left, you now have the Theatre of Alicante. As the name suggests, it is the main theatre of the city. Its construction dates back to 1845, at a time when Alicante thrives on its trade that goes as far as America.

Palacio El Portalet (Pass by)

Just a word on the front door you see on your right. It leads to the Portalet Palace and allows you to discover the place for free.

Plaza Portal de Elche (Pass by)

Here is a small square, full of charm as we like them. Is it for its 19th century booth, for its small tables that invite you to settle and take your time, or for its huge century-old ficus trees that offer us a well-deserved shade.

Carrer San Francisco (Pass by)

Here you are in San Francisco Street, better known by its nickname Calle de las Setas, rue des mushrooms. Barely a step down this street, you are propelled into the middle of a children’s tale where giant insects and mushrooms 4 meters high rub shoulders, on a floor with colorful cobbles.

Placa Gabriel Miro (Pass by)

You now arrive at the beautiful little square of Gabriel Miro, named in honor of the native writer of the city. You may hear locals call it the plaza de Correos, for the old post and telegraph building you have on your left.

Monument a Canalejas (Pass by)

At the end of the esplanade, you see a square that marks the entrance to a park. The square, monument and park are named in honor of José Canalejas.

Passeig Esplanada d'Espanya (Pass by)

Rio to its Copacabana esplanade, Nice, its English promenade, and Alicante has its Spanish Explanada. A path lined with palm trees, along the sea, and whose mosaic floor, made of more than 6 million stools of tricolor marble, draws the emblematic waves of the city.

Alacant town hall square (Pass by)

You are right in the centre of Alicante, in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the Plaza del Inn for those who do not speak Spanish. The town hall is housed in a beautiful baroque palace of the 18th century, built between 1699 and 1780.

Cocatedral de Sant Nicolau (Pass by)

Here you are, in front of the Cathedral of San Nicola in Bari, one of the most important churches in Alicante, named in honor of Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of the city.
