What you can expect
Discover one of the oldest and most biodiverse ecosystems in southern Chile by walking along ancient trails surrounded by temperate rainforest, crystal-clear rivers, and thousand-year-old alerce trees that have stood for millennia in the heart of Northern Patagonia. A landscape that seems frozen in time on one of the most immersive nature experiences in the area.
Guided by Miguel Hechenleitner, a documentary photographer specializing in the landscapes, culture, and identity of southern Chile, we'll walk along paths where the Carretera Austral begins, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and lush vegetation, as we venture into a landscape marked by humidity, the silence of the forest, and an enveloping atmosphere.
Our tour takes place within Alerce Andino National Park, renowned for protecting some of Chile's oldest larch forests, with specimens over 3,000 years old. Within the park, you can explore various trails ranging from easy to moderate in difficulty, which wind through Alerce and Coihue forests, alongside rivers, mosses, and centuries-old trees, allowing you to discover one of the country's best-preserved and most biodiverse natural environments.
Ideal for those who enjoy nature, trekking, and photography, and who want to discover southern Chile from a more intimate and leisurely perspective. Throughout the hike, there will be time for contemplation, exploration, and photography, adapting the route to the conditions of the day and the pace of the group. The private format promotes a flexible experience connected to the surroundings, allowing you to discover some of the best-preserved landscapes and ecosystems in the Lake District in a visually immersive experience.
