Drive your own sled-dog team with 6 time Iditarod champion Dallas Seavey's team of mushers, handlers and champion dogs on real snow in the middle of summer surrounded by amazing scenery. Take the dog team for a ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush a dog team or just sit on the sled and the mushers run the team. After your dogsled tour meet the canine athletes, and take pictures with your favorite dogs. After the mushing experience the helicopter whisks you off to a remote shoreline landing to view glaciers and icebergs. A perfect pre/post cruise option with multiple departure times and flexibility!

  • DRESS FOR ALL WEATHER - Dog camp is at a high elevation and weather may be cold and wet. Layers with an outer waterproof shell is recommended.

Seward (Pass by)
The most popular tour! Drive your own sled-dog team with 6 time Iditarod champion Dallas Seavey's team of mushers, handlers and champion dogs on real snow in the middle of summer surrounded by amazing scenery. Start this adventure with a helicopter ride over glaciers. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and goats. Land on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with champion sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer. Take the dog team for a ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush a dog team or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team. After your dogsled tour meet the canine athletes that pulled your sled, and of course take pictures with your favorite dogs. After the tour the helicopter takes you back to the lodge and you’ll fly over the lower glaciers where you can see the blue melt pools and the crevasses. Total Tour Time: 1.5 hours - includes 1 hour with the dogsled team (approx 25 min on sled) and approx 20 min round trip flightseeing
