Welcome aboard! We leave the harbor and admire the Gulf of Naples with Vesuvius and the islands of Ischia and Procida in the background. We sail west along the Roman walls that lead to the remains of Palazzo a Mare, the summer residence of Emperor Tiberius and the favorite home of Caesar Augustus. We continue along the high cliff to reach the famous Blue Grotto, a natural cavity with a scenic entrance that has a huge atrium inside with a seabed of an ethereal blue that is unique in the world. After that, we head along the high rock walls full of inlets, catching sight of the “Fortini” of Mesola, Orrico and Pino, built by the Anglo-French in the 1800s to defend the island, until we reach Punta Carena, guarded by its colorful lighthouse. Continuing south, we come to the Green Grotto with its intense emerald waters. After a brief stop, we arrive at the spectacular natural bay of Marina Piccola with the iconic Faraglioni sea stacks towering over the panorama. After a souvenir photo, we catch sight of the Scoglio del Monacone, named after the seals of the same name that once inhabited it. On the next headland is the unusual residence built by the writer Curzio Malaparte in 1930. Shortly after, once we reach the cove of Matermania, looking upwards we find the Arco Naturale formed by the erosion of the rock over millennia, and a little further on the imposing Grotta Bianca with its evocative stalactites and stalagmites at the top and a seabed with white reflections. Returning towards the harbor, at Punta del Capo we will pass under Tiberius' Leap located near Villa Jovis. Don't forget to wave goodbye to the charming Statue of the Scugnizzo!
A fantastic tour of every coastal view of Capri, with a dip and a cold drink, in the company of those you love and in total relaxation. We look forward to seeing you soon.
