Stretching over about twenty kilometers south of the island of Rangiroa, this coral formation also called “FEO” in “Paumotu” (Tuamotu language) is as important as it is exceptional, because it serves as a barrier against the strong the swell of the austral winter thus delaying the erosion of our “motu” (islets).
