This 2-day Liyang road trip is designed as an easy weekend escape from Shanghai, combining scenic driving, Jiangnan countryside, bamboo forests, quiet lakes, cultural villages, and soft mountain landscapes.

Instead of focusing on crowded water towns or major tourist landmarks, the route moves through a quieter side of East China — colorful rural roads, tea-covered hillsides, hidden reservoirs, cliffside cafés, seasonal waterfalls, and temples tucked among the trees.
