Day 1: Welcome to Lima
Upon arrival in Lima, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour, starting at Miraflores' Love Park with a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. Then, visit the Huaca Pucllana, an ancient ceremonial site. Continue to the Main Square, where you’ll see the Government Palace, Town Hall, and the majestic Cathedral. Explore the Santo Domingo Convent before spending the night in Lima.
Day 2: Enigmatic Nazca Lines
After breakfast, travel to Paracas Bay by bus. From the Pisco airport, take a flight over the Nazca Lines, giant desert geoglyphs depicting animals like a monkey, hummingbird, and spider. The purpose of the lines remains unclear, though many consider them an astronomical calendar. Afterward, return to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon.
Day 3: Paracas Natural Reserve
Embark on a morning boat trip to the Ballesta Islands, home to sea lions, pelicans, and Humboldt penguins. On the way, see the “Chandelier” figure, similar to the Nazca Lines. After the boat tour, return to Lima by bus.
Day 4: Cusco, Inca Capital
Arrive in Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. After check-in, take a city tour, beginning with San Cristobal Plaza for panoramic views of the city. Visit the bustling San Pedro Market, the gold-covered Korikancha Temple, and the Santo Domingo Church. Explore the artistic San Blas neighborhood, the Inca Roca Palace, and the Twelve Angle Stone. End with a visit to the Main Square and Cusco Cathedral.
Day 5: Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park
Visit Sacsayhuaman, an Inca fortress with massive stone walls and incredible views of Cusco. Then, explore the Qenqo shrine, Puca Pucara military complex, and Tambomachay, known for its advanced hydraulic engineering used in ritual baths.
Day 6: Sacred Valley - Chinchero, Moray, Ollantaytambo
Explore the Sacred Valley, starting with Chinchero, known for its Inca ruins and beautiful colonial church. Visit Moray, an ancient agricultural site with concentric terraces. After lunch, head to Ollantaytambo, an important Inca site with the Temple of the Ten Windows and the Ñusta’s Baths. Stay overnight in the Sacred Valley.
Day 7: Machu Picchu - The Lost Citadel
Travel to Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas. Take a scenic train ride and then a bus up to the citadel. Discover its terraces, shrines, and urban areas, while learning about its mysteries. After lunch, return to Cusco by train.
