Lake Natron

  • 10h
You will be picked up from your hotel after breakfast for a drive to lake Natron following the Rift Valley Escarpment northwards. Your drive passes through typical Masai land and soon Ol’doinyo Lengai – the holy mountain of the Masai – will appear in the distance before reaching the small Masai village of Ngare Sero. Enjoy a guided bush walk to Lake Natron, whose shores shimmer in pink as thousands of flamingos come to breed on the alkaline lake. Alternatively, you can choose to wander to the nearby waterfall to take a refreshing bath. You'll have picnic lunch in the afternoon and continue on an afternoon game drive where sunset is surreal. After the game drive, you will head to your accommodation for dinner and rest.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

  • 1 stop
  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks
  • Accommodation: Lobo Public Campsite

Serengeti National Park

  • 10h
Start early and continue your journey further north, enjoy the last view onto Lake Natron before leaving the Rift Valley behind and continue via the village of Wasso to Northern Serengeti. Enter Serengeti by midday at Kleins Gate. Stop to stretch and have lunch just after the gate then proceed to enjoy your first game drive in Lobo. Lobo supports a vast diversity of resident game, including wildebeests, leopards, lions, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, and zebras, thanks to permanent springs and a landscape marked by open grass plains scattered with kopjes. Proceed to your overnight accommodation for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

  • 1 stop
  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks
  • Accommodation: Lobo Public Campsite

Serengeti National Park

  • 10h
Home to the enormous migratory herds during the dry season. The Northern Serengeti remains an unexplored wilderness packed with stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife. The most captivating highlight of this area is undoubtedly the massive herds of migratory wildebeest and zebra during the dry season. However, the North Serengeti also supports an abundance of resident wildlife including lion, elephant, hippo, giraffe, crocodile, and the rare oribi antelope.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

  • 1 stop
  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks
  • Accommodation: Seronera Public Campsite

Serengeti National Park

  • 10h
After a relaxed morning drive towards Central Serengeti spend the day observing wildlife in the Seronera Valley. The Seronera Valley offers lots of wildlife throughout the year including carnivores like cheetahs, hyenas, leopards and lions as well as ungulates including buffaloes, giraffes, hippopotami, impalas, topi, warthogs and zebras. In the afternoon enjoy picnic lunch and continue with gamedrive until in the evening when you proceed to your accommodation for dinner and rest.

Day 5: Serengeti and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater

  • 1 stop
  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks
  • Accommodation: Simba Public Campsite

Serengeti National Park

  • 10h
Enjoy another game drive in Serengeti National Park before continuing to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which was separated from Serengeti in 1959. The resident Masai in Serengeti National Park were relocated to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where they still live today in harmony with wildlife and nature. The Ngorongoro Crater is a home to various wildlife in

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

  • 1 stop
  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks
  • Accommodation: Ngedere Lodge and Camps

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

  • 10h
After breakfast, we head along the crater rim to Seneto Gate on the western side and descends into the crater floor on an adventures path – what an impressive view! The Ngorongoro Crater provides a home for a vast number of animals because of its reliable water availability. Animals frequently move in and out. The number of wildebeests and zebras increases during the dry season, whereas the numbers of elands, elephants and water-bucks increase during the wet season. Search for the ‘Big Five‘ – buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and the black rhinoceros. The crater is one of the only two places in Tanzania where you can still observe the highly threatened back rhinoceros. After intensive game viewing, stop for lunch in the afternoon and in the evening, you proceed to your accommodation in Karatu Town for dinner and rest.

Day 7: Lake Eyasi

  • 1 stop
  • Meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks
  • Accommodation: Venice Hotel

Lake Eyasi

  • 10h
  • Admission ticket included
In the southwest corner of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the beautiful Lake Eyasi, a soda lake that is fed by the Sibiti and Baray Rivers. Visiting the Eyasi lake is a different type of safari experience from those that you may be familiar with from your other Tanzania wilderness excursions. The region around Eyasi is the home of the Hadzabe and Datoga communities who continue their ancient lifestyle of hunting-gathering and pastoralism respectively. Visits to the villages give you a personal, intimate look into the daily life of these peoples. You may be impromptu invited into their homes, learn about the family structures, participate in traditional dances, participate in bead making with the women, join the traditional small game hunting and gathering by the Hadzabe tribesmen, make bow and arrows, and much more. Early evening drive to Arusha for overnight. You can be dropped off at the airport right after the tour or a day(s) after the tour.
