Overview

In this 4-day private Great Wall hiking tour, you'll have the chance to see different sections of unrestored wild Great Wall as well as restored ones. The hiking covers Huanghuacheng, Xishuiyu, Jiankou, Mutianyu, Gubeikou, and Jinshanling. You'll see different styles of the Great Wall at different places. Your private English speaking hiking guide will be walking with you all the time. There are two options for this tour: "

all-inclusive”, and "

no meal” that means you need to prepare or pay for your own food and meal for the four days. Furthermore, this is a NO SHOPPING private tour. You will NOT be taken into any commercial place or shop for souvenirs unless you request earnestly. If you choose the option "

all-inclusive”, the last meal (lunch on the 4th day) will be arranged specially in a Chinese restaurant for traditional Chinese hotpot.

All the meals we provide are Chinese-styled, which means the food and dishes are served to and shared by all the diners, not like the western-styled meal that a certain dish is served to a certain diner.
Having hotpot takes a little longer than normal meal. If your time is limited on the last day, please tell the tour guide before the tour starts and we will re-arrange the hotpot at other meal time.
Three days' accommodation are all in small villages, where shops and grocery stores are not easy to find. Please prepare the things you need in advance.

Meet you up at 8am at your hotel and then drive to Huanghuacheng. It will take 4 hours to hike on the Wall today.

Day 2: Jiankou-Mutianyu 10KM Great Wall hiking

1. Breakfast at the same local guesthouse. 2. Check out and drive for Jiankou Great Wall. (driving for 40 min). 3. Begin to hike. 4. Get down from Mutianyu and drive for about 20 min to a local restaurant. 5. Lunch.

Day 3: Gubeikou to Jinshanling (5 hrs, 7km hiking)

The Great Wall of Gubeikou

1. Breakfast at the same local guesthouse. 2. Begin to hike. After the last tower at Gubeikou, it is a closed and forbidden part for military base on the Great Wall, and you need to walk along the small path in the mountain. 3. When you arrive at Jinshanling, you'll walk along the Great Wall from outside for some while and then get on the Wall at one certain tower. 4. Get down the Great Wall from Jinshanling from middle gate. 5. Lunch at a local restaurant nearby. After lunch, drive back to the same guesthouse at Gubeikou. 6. Dinner at the guesthouse.

Day 4: Jinshanling to Simatai West (3 hrs, 6km hiking)

Jinshanling Great Wall

1. Breakfast at the same guesthouse. 2. Check out after breakfast and drive to the entrance (middle gate) of Jinshanling Great Wall (driving - 30 min). 3. Begin to hike from the middle gate of Jinshanling Great Wall to the east gate (Simatai West). 4. After hiking, we'll drive back to the city and have the last meal (lunch) - a hotpot in a traditional Chinese restaurant. 5. Drop-off at your centrally located hotel in Beijing or PEK airport.
