This is a unique opportunity to experience the authentic Dia de Muertos with a true cultural immersion in traditional Xochimilco.
Choose to witness either the sunrise/sunset.
We will navigate through the canals of Xochimilco on a trajinera specially decorated, heading to a chinampa, where we can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sunrise/sunset, with the mountains as a backdrop.
You will learn all about the history of the place and the tradition of Día de Muertos.
A delicious tasting with traditional Mexican food such as tamales, pan de muerto, hot chocolate or coffee and calaveras de amaranto, is included.
The entire place will be beautifully decorated and you will get to know a traditional Día de Muertos ofrenda, and if you wish, you can bring a photo of your loved one to leave on the ofrenda just as we Mexicans do.
We will also visit the majestic cempasúchil fields, where you can harvest your own flower and, of course, take incredible photos.
