Day 1: Transfer to Udzungwa Mountains National Park
Depart from Dar es Salaam early in the morning and drive towards Udzungwa Mountains National Park (approx. 5–6 hours). Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge/camp near the park. In the afternoon, take a short introductory walk around the park’s forest edge to enjoy birdwatching, primates, and the unique flora of the area. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full-Day Hiking in Udzungwa Mountains
After breakfast, set off on a full-day guided trek to the breathtaking Sanje Waterfalls, a 170-meter-high cascade offering stunning panoramic views. Spend time swimming in natural pools and enjoying a picnic lunch surrounded by the forest's serene beauty. On your descent, keep an eye out for endemic species such as the Udzungwa red colobus monkey. Return to your lodge or campsite in the late afternoon to relax before dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Dar es salaam
Start your final day with a short morning nature walk along a different trail, ideal for birdwatching and spotting primates. After the walk, return to the lodge for check-out and begin your journey back, with drop-off in Morogoro by mid-afternoon or Dar es Salaam by early evening, concluding your unforgettable trekking adventure.
