  8. Travel Itinerary
    Day 1: Hanoi – Mộc Châu – Tà Số
    In the morning, take a bus from Hanoi to Mộc Châu and Tà Số. You will arrive at Hoa Phong Homestay in the afternoon. After checking in, a local guide will take you on a free walk around the village. In the evening, if you book dinner at the homestay, you can join the family to prepare the meal together.
    Day 2: Trekking along the marathon route – Visit remote villages of Tà Số
    7:00 AM – Have breakfast and get ready for trekking.
    What to bring:
    Insect repellent and some common cold medicine (mosquitoes and insects may be around).
    Avoid bulky items for easy movement through forest paths and stone steps.
    Long pants, long-sleeve shirt, trekking shoes, and a hat.
    Drinking water.
    Snacks or a packed lunch (you can pre-order from Hoa Phong Homestay or arrange a full meal at a local house along the way).
    8:00 AM – Start the trek.
    A local guide will lead you along the path to Hang Tàu village. Along the way, enjoy the fresh air, vast green meadows, and rice fields stretching on both sides of the road.
    12:00 PM – Visit the ancient livestock area of the Hmong people and have lunch.
    You can enjoy your own snacks, bring a lunch prepared by the homestay, or order a meal at a local family’s home.
    1:30 PM – Continue trekking along the marathon road towards Tà Số village.
    Take in the stunning scenery on the way.
    3:30 PM – Arrive at Tà Số village.
    Visit traditional ancient houses, meet local families, and learn about the sacred stone and the stone-worship custom of the Hmong people.
    5:00 PM – Return to Hoa Phong Homestay.
    You can join the host family to pick vegetables and cook dinner together after the trek.
    Day 3: Breakfast – Check-out
    Enjoy breakfast with your host family, have some final conversations, take souvenir photos, and prepare to check out before leaving.
