Day 1: Arrival in Serengeti National Park
Your 3-day safari with Tiem Tours and Safaris begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Karatu. You’ll enjoy a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro region en route to Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations. The park is best known for the Great Migration, where massive herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains, closely followed by predators.
After entering through Naabi Hill Gate, you’ll begin a game drive toward your campsite, with chances to spot the Big Five and other wildlife along the way. In the late afternoon, arrive at Nyani Campsite, where you’ll relax, enjoy a freshly prepared campfire dinner, and spend the night under the stars surrounded by the sounds of the wild.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
After a freshly prepared breakfast, begin your day with an early morning game drive across the vast Serengeti plains. This is one of the best times to spot active wildlife, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as large herds that may be part of the Great Migration. As you explore deeper into the park, take in the breathtaking scenery and diverse wildlife that make the Serengeti so unique.
You’ll spend most of the day discovering the park’s rich ecosystem before heading out in the afternoon toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. By evening, arrive at Simba Campsite, located on the crater rim, where you’ll enjoy incredible views over the Ngorongoro Crater and settle in for the night.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive and Return to Arusha
Start your day early with a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. The crater floor is rich in wildlife, offering chances to see the Big Five, flocks of flamingos, and many other species in a unique natural setting. Enjoy a morning of close-up wildlife encounters while exploring this remarkable ecosystem.
Later, ascend from the crater and begin your journey back to Arusha. You’ll arrive in the late afternoon, marking the end of your safari, with a drop-off at your hotel.
