Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech at 8:00 AM. Enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 1.5 hours through the picturesque High Atlas foothills to Imi Oughlad (1,450m), where you will meet your Berber guide and muleteer. From here, begin your trek along gentle slopes toward Imlil and through the Ouirgane National Park, a perfect acclimatization route with gradual trails, juniper forests, and vibrant copper-green soils. The hike passes through traditional Berber hamlets, offering insight into rural Moroccan life and stunning views of surrounding valleys and mountains. Continue until you reach the tiny, remote Berber village of Tinzert, where you will spend the night. Total walking for the day is approximately 4 hours, suitable for families and travelers of all fitness levels.

Day 2: Tinzert to Azzaden Valley & Ait Aissa Village

Along the way, enjoy a roaring mountain stream and vistas of Mount Toubkal and its sister peaks at the head of the valley. The trail offers a mix of gentle paths and moderate inclines, providing a comfortable but scenic trekking experience suitable for families and travelers of all fitness levels. After approximately 5–6 hours of walking, you will arrive at the Berber village of Ait Aissa, where you will stay overnight in a traditional gîte, fully immersing yourself in mountain village life.

Day 3: Azzaden Valley to Tizi n Mzik Pass & Return to Marrakech

After breakfast at your Ait Aissa gîte, begin the final day of your trek with a scenic ascent through the Azzaden Valley toward Tizi Oussem. Continue climbing to the pass at Tizi n Mzik (2,489m), offering panoramic views of the surrounding High Atlas peaks and valleys. Along the way, experience traditional Berber hamlets, terraced fields, and rugged mountain landscapes. After reaching the pass, start your descent back to Imlil, taking in the beauty of orchards, streams, and village life along the trail. The hike takes approximately 4–5 hours, providing a satisfying conclusion to your multi-day Atlas Mountains adventure. Upon arrival in Imlil, your driver will transfer you back to Marrakech, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or riad, marking the end of the trek.
