What you can expect
Day 1: Kigali City Tour & Rwanda Cultural Experience
Begin your morning with a guided city tour of Kigali. Visit the Belgian Peacekeepers Memorial, a site dedicated to the ten Belgian UN peacekeepers who lost their lives during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Continue to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you will learn more about Rwanda’s history and the country’s journey of remembrance and reconciliation.
After the city tour, drive approximately 2 hours to the Volcanoes National Park area. In the afternoon, enjoy a cultural experience at Gorilla Guardians Village, where you will discover Rwanda’s traditions through local music, dance, storytelling, and cultural demonstrations.
Accommodation: Isange Paradise ResortDay 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund Museum
After breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your mountain gorilla trekking experience. Trek through the lush forests of Volcanoes National Park in search of one of Rwanda’s habituated gorilla families. The trek can take approximately 4–5 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas and the terrain.Once you locate the gorilla family, spend one hour observing them in their natural habitat as they interact, feed, play, and care for their young.
Return to your lodge for lunch and some time to relax. In the afternoon, visit the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund museum to learn about Dian Fossey’s pioneering work and the ongoing conservation efforts protecting Rwanda’s mountain gorillas.

After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off for your golden monkey tracking experience. Walk through the bamboo forests of the Virunga Mountains in search of these lively and playful primates. Enjoy the forest experience and observe the golden monkeys as they move through their natural habitat.After the tracking experience, return for lunch before beginning your drive back to Kigali. The journey takes approximately 3 hours, arriving in time for your late-evening flight back home.
