Gali Paranthe Wali

Tucked inside a narrow lane off Chandni Chowk lies one of Delhi's most beloved culinary secrets "Gali Paranthe Wali", the "alley of stuffed breads." Family-run shops here have been serving freshly made parathas, stuffed with everything from potato and paneer to dried fruits and rabri since 1875. This is not street food. Naughara

One of Old Delhi's best-kept secrets, Naughara, meaning "nine homes" is a tranquil gated neighbourhood entered through the bustling Kinari Bazaar, making its sudden quiet feel almost magical. At the end of this charming lane stands a 19th-century Jain Swetamber Temple, its entrance adorned in white marble, vivid stained glass, and brilliant painted panels. This is the hidden, spiritual soul of Shahjahanabad that most visitors never discover.

Dariba Kalan

Delhi's most historic silver and jewellery market takes its name from the Persian phrase Dur-e-be-baha, meaning "unparalleled pearl", a fitting title for a street that has traded in precious stones, gold, and silver since the reign of Shah Jahan in the 17th century. This lane witnessed one of history's darkest moments when Persian invader Nadir Shah's army looted its gold shops during the infamous Delhi Massacre of 1739. Today it thrives again, and its silversmiths produce some of the finest handcrafted jewellery in India.

Red Fort

No journey through Shahjahanabad is complete without pausing before the iconic Red Fort, Shah Jahan's magnificent palace-fortress built in 1639, which gave the city its original character. Even viewed from the outside, its massive red sandstone walls rising 33 metres above the street are a powerful reminder of the empire that created everything around you.
