Day 1: Exploring Tataouine and Berber villages

• Hotel pick-up: We'll meet you at your hotel to kick off your adventure.

• Trip to Tataouine: We'll take the “Roman Road,” a picturesque causeway connecting the island of Djerba to the African mainland.

• Stop at the salt lake of Chahbania: On the way, we'll take a break at the salt lake of Chahbania to enjoy the magnificent view and take some memorable photos.

• Arrival in Tataouine: Once you arrive, you'll have the opportunity to discover the local market, where you can explore the different Berber products and spices.

• Visit the Berber village of Chenini: We'll then head back to Chenini, a Berber village. A local guide will show you its history and traditions, and explain the locals' way of life.

• Lunch at a local restaurant: At noon, you'll have the chance to enjoy a traditional Berber meal at one of the village restaurants.

• Head to the Erg and the oasis of Ksar Ghilane: After lunch, we'll head to the Erg, the desert of rocks, to reach the oasis of Ksar Ghilane. Upon arrival, you can swim in the natural water pool, a magical place amidst the greenery and golden dunes of the Sahara.

• Optional activities: If you'd like, you can explore the oasis by quad bike or camel ride, for an additional fee.

• Night in Ksar Ghilane: After a busy day, you'll spend the night in local accommodation, where you can enjoy the unique atmosphere of the desert.

Day 2: Exploring Matmata and the troglodyte villages

• Hearty breakfast: The next morning, after a good breakfast, we'll head to the village of Matmata.

• Visit to a Berber family: In Matmata, you'll have the chance to meet a Berber family and visit their traditional troglodyte habitat.

• Break at the village of Tamazret: We'll take a break at the Berber village of Tamazret, where you can enjoy almond tea, a local specialty.

• Sidi Idriss: Then we'll head to Sidi Idriss, a troglodyte hotel famous for being the setting for some scenes from the Star Wars movie. You can admire the film's decor there.

• Visit to Toujane: The last visit of the day will be to the Berber village of Toujane, hidden between two mountains and famous for its handmade carpets and honey.

• Return to the hotel: At the end of this day full of discoveries, you'll be taken back to your hotel, your head full of unforgettable memories.
