What you can expect

Visit Uruguay and enjoy Colonia del Sacramento, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that reflects centuries of culture and charm. Founded in 1680 by the Portuguese, this picturesque town captivates visitors with its cobblestoned streets, colonial facades, and colorful houses along the river. Relax in the comfort of a 4-star hotel and explore Colonia at your own pace, embracing the unique atmosphere that makes it one of South America’s most enchanting destinations.

Day 1: Departure from Buenos Aires and Arrival in Colonia

Your journey begins early in the morning, with a private transfer from your hotel in Buenos Aires to the ferry terminal. After going through customs (please note that passports are required), you'll board the ferry for a smooth and pleasant one-hour journey across the Río de la Plata, which separates Argentina from Uruguay.

Upon arrival in Cologne, a local guide will welcome you and lead a 2-hour walking tour through the UNESCO-listed historic quarter. Founded by the Portuguese in 1680, Colonia enchants with its cobblestoned streets and centuries-old landmarks. Highlights include the evocative Street of Sighs, the ruins of the San Francisco Monastery—the oldest in Uruguay—the lighthouse, the Governor's House, and the Basilica of the Holy Sacrament, among other gems of the colonial old town.

After the tour, enjoy free time for lunch (not included), before a transfer to your hotel.

Overnight in Colonia del Sacramento.

Day 2: Free Time and Return to Buenos Aires

Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at your hotel. The morning is yours to enjoy at leisure—wander through Colonia’s cobblestoned streets, revisit your favorite corners of the old quarter, or savor lunch (not included) at one of the town’s charming restaurants.

In the afternoon, at the scheduled time, your driver will take you to the ferry terminal for the return journey across the Río de la Plata.

Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, another driver will be waiting to provide a seamless transfer to your hotel
