Starting with Sunrise at Angkor Wat is the largest Hindu temple in the world. Angkor Wat was build in early of 12th century. Angkor Wat was commissioned by the Khmer king Suryavarman II (ruled 1113–c. 1150) in the early 12th century in Yaśodharapura (present-day Angkor), the capital of the Khmer Empire.
Then, continue to visit Angkor Thom city. Angkor Thom was built in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII. It was the centre of a huge building programme instigated by the King. Bayon temple was built in the centre of Angkor Thom city. Bayon was the last state temple built in the Angkor complex. The great Buddhist ruler, King Jayavarman VII, began its construction near the end of his life – sometime in the late 12th or early 13th century.
Last visit Ta Prohm Temple. The original name for Ta Prohm was Rajavihara which means Monastery of the King in English. It was built in 1186AD by King Jayavarman VII and was one of the first temples built during Jayavarman VII’s prolific reign.
The temple was built in honour of Jayavarman’s family. Inscriptions tell us that main part of the temple represents Prajnaparamita which is the perfection of wisdom and relates to the king’s mother.
Day 2.
After breakfast at your hotel, continue to visit Kulen mountain with waterfall. In ancient Khmer, Phnom Kulen was called Mahendraparvata, “Mountain of Indra, the King of the Gods”. You will enjoy and explore Kulen view and 1000 linga, reclining Buddha statue and waterfall.
At the afternoon, continue to visit Elephant Sanctuary, where you’ll observe these gentle giants in their natural forest environment. Feed the elephants, take photos with them, and offer handmade, healthy snacks as you get up close in a respectful and ethical setting.
Engage in an enriching mud bath experience, combining fun with learning as you watch the elephants interact, play by the pond, and enjoy their surroundings. The experience concludes with a refreshing bathing session alongside the elephants.
Spend time observing the elephants’ daily lives as they roam freely, walk with them into the forest, and see how they choose to spend their time. At the end of the tour, return to base camp to relax and enjoy fresh seasonal fruit, coffee, tea, or snacks before heading back to Siem Reap.
