Day 1 – San Pablo Lake & Peguche Village
Depart Quito and travel north toward Imbabura Province. Stop at the San Pablo Lake viewpoint for panoramic photos and a taste of fresh biscochos (traditional biscuits). Continue to Peguche Village to explore artisan workshops and an Andean musical instrument studio. Enjoy a short walk to Peguche Waterfall inside the protected forest. Visit a women-led community organization to see traditional cooking demonstrations and savor a farm-to-table lunch. Later, walk to the sacred site of Tundun, where a shaman will perform a cleansing ritual using medicinal plants and the pure waters of this revered location.
Day 2 – Cuicocha Lake & Otavalo Market
After breakfast, head to Cuicocha Lake for a short hike along the crater rim. Stop for a traditional Ecuadorian lunch in Cotacachi or Otavalo before visiting the famous Otavalo Market. Stroll through colorful stalls filled with handmade crafts, textiles, and souvenirs. On the return to Quito, make a brief stop at the Equator Sundial Monument.
