Day 1: Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga → Camel Trek & Overnight in Sahara Camp
Your unforgettable journey begins at 7:00 AM, when your friendly driver picks you up from your hotel or riad in Fes for a thrilling two-day escape into the Moroccan Sahara. As you leave the bustling medina behind, the road climbs into the Middle Atlas Mountains, revealing sweeping vistas and crisp mountain air.
Your first stop is the charming alpine town of Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland” thanks to its clean streets, European-style architecture, and surrounding cedar forests. Continuing south, you'll pass through the cedar woodlands of Azrou, where you'll have the chance to meet the cheeky Barbary macaques that live freely in the forest — be sure to keep your snacks safe!
