Day 1: Kampala/Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park
Start your journey early as you set off from Kampala or Entebbe. Your professional guide will pick you up from your hotel or residence in a 4x4 safari vehicle, ensuring a comfortable and safe journey.

The drive to Lake Mburo National Park takes around 3-4 hours, with a picturesque route filled with rolling hills, lush green landscapes, and traditional homesteads. En route, stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe. Here, you can witness the iconic “Equator Line” and take memorable photos standing in both hemispheres at once.

Learn about the Coriolis effect, shop for handmade souvenirs, and grab a cup of Ugandan coffee before resuming your journey. Upon arrival, complete park entry formalities, and check in at your chosen lodge, such as Mihingo Lodge, Rwakobo Rock, or Eagle’s Nest Lodge, each offering beautiful views of the park.

After lunch and some relaxation, embark on your first game drive within Lake Mburo National Park. Explore the park’s savannah landscapes, acacia woodlands, and scenic lakes. Expect to encounter zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos, warthogs, giraffes, and various bird species.

The park is home to one of Uganda’s largest zebra populations, so don’t forget your camera for some unforgettable shots. Experience Lake Mburo’s unique ecosystem with an evening boat cruise on the lake. This tranquil boat ride offers the chance to see hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife, including African fish eagles, herons, and kingfishers.

Capture the breathtaking sunset over the lake, with golden hues reflecting on the water as wildlife settles in for the night. Enjoy a delicious dinner at your lodge and unwind as you listen to the sounds of the African wilderness. Spend a relaxing evening and prepare for another adventure-filled day.

Day 2: Lake Mburo National Park to Kampala/Entebbe
Begin your day with a guided walking safari or bike riding safari for an up-close encounter with nature. Lake Mburo is one of the few parks in Uganda that offers walking safaris, giving you a rare opportunity to track wildlife on foot.

Walk with an armed ranger guide through the savannah and plains, observing zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and a rich variety of bird species from a safe distance. Return to your lodge for breakfast, take some time to relax, and check out.

If you're looking for an added thrill, take a horseback safari offered by Mihingo Lodge (subject to booking). This unique experience allows you to ride through the park on horseback, encountering zebras, elands, and other wildlife without the barrier of a vehicle.

Enjoy lunch at the lodge or a picnic spot in the park before beginning your return journey to Kampala/Entebbe. Reflect on the amazing experiences and memories made over the past two days. Upon arrival in Kampala or Entebbe, your guide will drop you off at your hotel or residence, marking the end of your safari adventure.
