What you can expect

Explore Greece's ancient heritage on this 2-day tour to Delphi and Meteora. Pass through historic villages, discover the ancient town of Delphi, and travel to the top of the grand rock formations of Meteora, where you can visit Byzantine monasteries and experience the grandiose views.

Set off from Athens and venture into the mainland, making brief stops at Livadia and Arachova before arriving at Delphi. The remains of the UNESCO-listed city are ready for your exploration.

Pass through Castalia Spring, see both the famous Temple of Apollo and The Oracle, and stop at the Museum of Delphi, where you can find the statue of the Charioteer of Delphi, the Naxian Sphinx, and the statue of Antinous.

After lunch, set out for your overnight stay on a scenic drive to Kalambaka, a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks, which are crowned by the Meteora monasteries.

Get an early start and head up to Meteora for a tour of 2 Byzantine monasteries, which for centuries have provided solitary retreat for Greek monks. Take an optional factory tour of Byzantine style icons before making your way back to Athens, passing the monument of Leonidas, the King of Sparta.
