The Everest Base Camp Trek is a classic Himalayan journey that combines high-altitude adventure, Sherpa culture, and panoramic mountain scenery. Beginning in Kathmandu, this guided multi-day trek follows the traditional Everest route with gradual acclimatization and licensed local guides. Travelers experience suspension bridges, monasteries, glacier landscapes, and close-up views of Everest (8,848.86 m), Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and surrounding peaks while staying in traditional tea houses along the trail.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu – 1,400 m / 4,593 ft. Trek briefing and preparation for the journey.Final equipment check, permit arrangements.
Day 2: Travel to Lukla (2,850 m / 9,350 ft) and trek to Phakding (2,650 m / 8,694 ft). Begin the trek with a gentle walk through Sherpa villages along the Dudh Koshi River.
Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar – 3,440 m / 11,286 ft. Cross suspension bridges and enter Sagarmatha National Park.
Day 4: Acclimatization in Namche. Short hikes to viewpoints such as Everest View Hotel.
Day 5: Namche to Tengboche – 3,850 m / 12,631 ft. Trek through forest trails to Tengboche Monastery.
Day 6: Tengboche to Dingboche – 4,410 m / 14,468 ft. Trek through alpine landscapes and traditional settlements.
Day 7: Acclimatization in Dingboche. Optional hike for altitude adaptation and views of Lhotse and Makalu.
Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche – 4,910 m / 16,109 ft. Pass memorial sites and glacial terrain.
Day 9: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5,140 m / 16,864 ft) and Everest Base Camp – 5,364 m / 17,598 ft.
Day 10: Kala Patthar sunrise – 5,550 m / 18,209 ft, then descend to Pheriche.
Day 11: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar.
Day 12: Namche to Lukla – final trekking day.
Day 13: Return to Kathmandu and rest.
Day 15: Leisure day in Kathmandu with optional exploration.
Day 16: Final departure according to your travel schedule.
