  • It is the perfect short adventure from Arusha for guests who want nature, culture, and relaxation in one day.

    Day Itinerary

Morning Pickup – Arusha to Materuni Village
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha early in the morning for a smooth drive toward the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival at Materuni Village, you will begin your visit with a short cultural introduction before starting the waterfall hike.

    Materuni Waterfalls Hike
Enjoy a guided walk through lush vegetation, banana farms, and coffee fields as you head toward Materuni Waterfall. The hike takes about 45 minutes each way and rewards you with a stunning 70-meter waterfall where you can relax or take photos. Guests who wish to swim are welcome to enjoy the natural pool at the base of the falls.

Chagga Coffee Experience and Hot Local Lunch
After the waterfall visit, you will take part in a traditional Chagga coffee experience where you will roast, grind, and prepare fresh coffee using local methods. A warm local lunch will be served in the village before continuing the trip.

    Materuni to Kikuletwa Hot Spring
After lunch, you will drive to Kikuletwa Hot Spring, a natural oasis with clear warm water surrounded by fig trees. Spend the afternoon swimming, relaxing, or enjoying the rope swing. Soft drinks and bottled water will be provided during your time at the hot spring.

    Return to Arusha
In the late afternoon, you will begin your return drive to Arusha, arriving in the early evening where the tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.
