On this tour, spend a day experiencing “neputa,” Aomori Prefecture's summer tradition, as you lay your eyes on large neputa floats paraded in the Aomori Neputa Festival and create a lantern by reusing neputa paintings actually used in the festival. You will surely be fascinated by the vivid colors of Aomori's nebuta floats. Families traveling with their kids in tow can feel free to join as a hired car is used for transportation. The tour is accompanied by a National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter.

As suitcases, etc. cannot be brought during the tour, please have them delivered in advance, or leave them in a locker or at your hotel before participating.
Snowfall is expected in winter. Wearing snow boots or other shoes that protect against snow is recommended.
Vegetarian meals are available for lunch and must be requested at the time of booking. If requests are not provided in advance, same-day changes cannot be accepted.
Allergy-friendly meals, gluten-free meals, etc. are not available.
Parental permission in writing is necessary for all tour participants under the age of eighteen. Any participant under the age of fifteen or not yet enrolled in middle school must be joined by a parent or guardian on the tour.

At Craft Factory IRODORI, experience making a lantern reusing neputa paintings that were actually used at the festival. Neputa paintings to be used are those that are removed when the floats are dismantled. By making use of things that would normally be discarded, you can create eco-friendly lanterns using the float design.
