West Palm Beach features a chic waterfront city center bordered by magnificent wilderness, the sparkling Lake Worth Lagoon and the North Atlantic Ocean. An exciting cultural hub and buzzing nightlife are located mere miles from secluded beaches and lush state parks.

Head downtown to check out West Palm Beach’s cultural charms. The Norton Museum of Art showcases an impressive collection of Renaissance, American and European modernist and contemporary artworks, as well as a notable selection of photographs and Chinese art. Find out what’s showing at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Southeast Florida’s premier performing arts venue. On Thursday nights enjoy Clematis by Night at Centennial Square, located near the end of Clematis Street, where local bands perform for free. After the concert, head to CityPlace, a waterfront complex that features dozens of restaurants, bars, clubs and a movie theater.

West Palm Beach has plenty to offer those seeking sun and surf. The whole family will enjoy aquatic adventures at the Rapids Water Park in nearby Riviera Beach. Ride on the slides or chill out in gentle wave pools and rivers. Snorkel among tropical reefs or surf the waves at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park. Then, experience the region’s fascinating tropical flora and fauna on a walk along Singer Island Park’s nature trails. Enjoy a relaxed day at the beach at Phipps Ocean Park, a barrier island just outside of the city center.

West Palm Beach is located in South Florida, just over an hour’s drive north of Miami. Palm Beach International Airport is a small airport serviced by many major and regional airlines and is located very close to downtown West Palm Beach. The city is easy to explore by car. You can also get around using the convenient public transport system with commuter trains, local buses and a downtown trolley.

The city’s southern location makes it warm and sunny for most of the year, but brief tropical thunderstorms occur from May through to October.
