Nice place for a quick visit. However, it was a popular location for outdoor protests/activism which was loud. Otherwise, fine.

Great location with quick and easy access to the metro and local buses (for access to the metro that serves Union Station and National Mall). We liked that the hotel had water stations and a rooftop bar. We dropped something on the floor and saw that under the air conditioner unit, it was filthy and saw a loose used ear plug. Finally, something that was mentioned on arrival was that Motto was a "micro hotel". This, as far as I recall, was not mentioned in the hotel description. It's fine that the room was small but it could have been made clearer before the booking.

Small room, but overall very convenient hotel to stay in. The metro is right across the street and you can take it anywhere to get to all the monuments! There’s also a lot of great places to eat 😊!

If I could give a place zero stars, I would First of all I was told parking was nearby and that I get at least half of the money back once I brought the ticket. I parked around 10 PM and left around 10 AM and it was almost $70 and it is at least a half a mile from the hotel. I brought the receipt to the reception because I was told the night before I would receive the money back for parking… to be told that I was supposed to bring the ticket before I paid. This was not told to me whatsoever. Check out is at 11 AM. I was told to pull up to the front so we could bring our luggage out….. I just opened my mail and received a $200 parking ticket from District of Columbia with photos of my car outside of the hotel at 11:07 AM as I was talking to the clerk getting the luggage out. Not to mention the actual room… this room is so small it’s almost laughable. A full sized adult could almost touch their feet on the wall that has a TV on it. The bathroom is 12 inches away from the bed and the only thing separating it is a sliding glass door. So make sure you are VERY familiar with who you are staying with. They have two water bottles in the room, because depending on the floor they may or may not have ice/ water machine…. However they charge you $4 for a bottle of water if you open it. We got DoorDash the night we stayed… But it was cold as the front desk never let us know it was there and the delivery person could not get to the floor our room was on without access.

Not as expected. This is a micro hotel with limited amenities. Staff were not very hospitable, seemed bothered, not accommodating. The location was good the room was clean but other than this would not recommend staying here!

Wonderful staff. Location isn’t great. The hotel was under construction and it began at 8am so there was no sleeping in. The lower floors on one side have a view of a brick wall - a bit claustrophobic. Their gym is great and the staff is wonderful. Nice rooftop bar. For someone staying for a day or two and plans to be out for most of day, this hotel is fine. Do not recommend the hotel for families or long stays.
