"this is my second time to stay at the ilikai. it is pretty clean but older hotel it seems maintained well and entrance floor tiles were redone. it looks nicer. i like getting the room with a kitchen as its nice to cook breakfast and enjoy the sunrise every day from the room. its worth the extra rate to get the oceanview room. the room is pretty good size for the price and full kitchen stove ref and couch as well. also close to the beach and ala-moana mall and parks as well. daily housekeeping has returned also. i would stay here again. friendly staff."

"Came here for a wedding and decided to stay some days. Unfortunately I was a victim of domestic abuse & was assaulted .The staff was beyond exceptional & moved me into another room and helped me with my belongings. The security team came up to gather a report and make sure I was okay. I did not press charges but was presented the option. I will never forget how attentive and understanding everyone was. I want to thank John who is the angel that answered and sent me help. Joan was also so helpful as this person charged alcohol & food to my account without permission. The hotel kindly removed these charges. I hope to return to this amazing hotel."

"Excellent for overnight in Honolulu, close enough for use to walk (about 20 minutes), staff were very friendly, there are some places behind the hotel for buying some basic food and drinks. The hotel is a little dated but that is OK with us."
