Casa Dra Alicia is a great place to stay in Vinales. The people are extremly friendly and we had our best dinner there. The room is clean and quiete and the host arranged a sightseeing tour by horses. I can recommend this casa.

Die Unterkunft liegt ein wenig außerhalb von Viñales - man braucht ca. 15 min zu Fuß bis zur Hauptstraße, in denen sich die Restaurants befinden. Das Zimmer ist spartanisch ausgestattet. Die Frau, die sich um Check-In, Service und Check-Out kümmert, ist nicht Alicia. Sie erklärt alles auf Spanisch oder in sehr spärlichem Englisch. Wir hatten am Anfang keinen Strom, was in der Gegend einfach mal vorkommen kann. Abends kurz vor unserer Rückkehr wurde der Strom wieder aktiviert und wir konnten in der Nacht die Klimaanlage nutzen. Das Zimmer war von Mücken und einzelnen Kakerlaken besiedelt und wir haben ein Mückennetz für die Betten vermisst. Nachdem wir uns mit Mückenspray eingesprüht hatten und einige Zeit damit verbracht haben, die Mückenplage eigenständig zu bekämpfen, konnten wir uns schlafen legen. Die Kissen sind sehr dünn und unbequem. Das Frühstück für 5 USD pro Person ist nicht zu empfehlen. Da gibt es bessere und günstigere Alternativen im Ort. Das Wi-Fi hat nicht funktioniert - dies wurde erst auf Nachfrage erläutert. Da es auch in den Restaurants sehr schwierig ist, internet zu bekommen, war das schon etwas ärgerlich. Wir denken, es gibt gleichwertige Alternativen zu günstigeren Preisen oder bessere Alternativen zu gleichen Preisen.

We were given a warm welcome at Casa Dra Alicia and greeted with a refreshing drink. This warmth continued throughout our stay. The room was modern and comfortable and offered privacy with its own seating area/courtyard. Alicia offered to cook a lobster dinner for us and, having read previous reviews, we decided we would love to eat at the casa on our first night rather than walk into town. The dinner was served in the courtyard and was beautifully presented, delicious and excellent value for money. The following morning we were served a fantastic breakfast before meeting our guide, who Alicia had organised for us, and walking to the caves and coffee plantation for a very enjoyable experience. Later in the day we walked into town (10-15 minutes) to get a flavour of local life. One point - it is advisable to have a torch with you if you are returning in the dark, as the road is not well lit and traffic can be quite busy. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Alicia's hospitality.

Wonderfull casa centred with the lovely locals, just outside Vinalis. Everything was perfect including secure parking. Take a flashlight with you when you intend to stay out late in the lovely town. To walk back at night under the stars to the casa is dark but very safe.

We were treated extremely well by our host Alicia. We stayed in an very roomy and clean apartment with a neat garden in front. We also loved playing with the little dog and watching the livestock of the neighbours. Breakfast and lunch were delicious. The house is only a short walk from the town and the national park. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Viñales.

Wir haben drei Nächte in der Casa da Alicia verbracht. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, mit zwei Doppelbetten ausgestattet und angemessen groß. Die Dusche hat ausreichend Wasserdruck - in Kuba keine Selbstverständlichkeit. Wir haben das von Alicia zubereitete Frühstück und Abendessen sehr genossen. Das Essen war landestypisch, aus Produkten der Region zubereitet und sehr reichlich. Auf unseren Wunsch gab es auch vegetarisches Essen Alicia war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und spricht gut Englisch. Sie hat uns einen guten Guide für eine Wanderung durch das Tal organisiert und uns mit Medikamenten ausgeholfen. Wir können die Casa dra Alicia empfehlen.
