We greatly enjoyed this hotel. The location is convenient if you have a JR pass, and if you like to walk. The hotel is fairly new, non smoking, nice size room with nice furnishings, high tech lighting system and an awesome shower. We had a corner room with decks on two sides and nice views. The public baths on 2nd floor were very clean and we had it all to ourselves. They also have a nicely equipped fitness room which doesn't open until 6am. We were able to get them to open it a few minutes early, but it would be nice if they would extend the hours. We didn't try the restaurant, but the in-house bakery was phenomenal! We will definitely stay here again when our travels bring us to Tokyo.

Overrall it was a pleasant. Hotel is very new & staff were friendly. The room that I had was facing the motorway and train station, it can get quite noisy when the road is busy. In future, I would choose a room that face the stadium and a larger room.

Amazing new hotel totally worth it

This hotel just opened. Most Reception staffs speaks good English and hotel is located 10 steps from a metro stop. Relatively spacious compared to usual japan hotel rooms. We could open 2 big suitcases and still have common area to walk round. Rooms comes with a super spacious shower rooms with a tub and a standing shower. I am very impressed with the amenities. Very thoughtful hotel with high standards. Balcony is big. Bakery inside hotel is good too. Highly recommend for everyone! Only downside is no convenient store nearby within walking distance.

I am Korean Australian (fluent in both languages) and I speak basic Japanese. Language barrier with the hotel staff was a bigger issue than I had expected. The Korean speaking staff was there only part time and I hardly saw her. Most hotel staff speak zero English to very limited English. Only one or two speak conversational English but they are not always there. You will sometimes find situations where nobody speaks your language at all. Lucky I speak some basic Japanese and managed to get by. The restaurant was almost always fully booked and I could not go in. Out of my 7 day stay, I managed to find a seat only once. Not being able to eat in the restaurant was a big issue because there is no restaurants or shops around the hotel. Location wise, the hotel is in a remote area. The hotel is not in a major town and the nearest train station is about 10 minute walk away. The biggest problem is that there is no restaurants around the hotel and the hotel restaurant is always fully booked. So in order to just eat, you have to take the subway (10 minute walk away) and travel to another town like Shinjuku or Shibuya. And always having to take that walk and subway ride to inner towns and then do the same trip back to hotel was taxing on me over the 7 day stay. When I saw other nice hotels standing in the middle of Shinjuku which were cheaper than this hotel, I realised that I made a mistake. The hotel is very new and nice, and the staff are nice too, but the location was not.
