Underwhelming experience

Posted 03 20, 17
Chose this hotel based on the reviews but unfortunately i did not have the same experience as others. Hotel was a little hard to find as the lobby is located on the 20th floor of a multi purpose building. Exterior signage is not obvious. Once you get into the building, you really need to look for the signs directing you where to go. If youre coming by way of shinjuku station, make sure you come out of the correct exit or else you might pop out of another exit that will require you to walk pretty far. Shinjuku station is huge, difficult to navigate, and crowded. Hotel staff did their jobs efficiently but could not offer pleasantries or even smile. Seems as if they are tired or just uncaring. Room was on the larger side for japan standards which was nice. The view is also killer and we were only on the 22nd floor. Hotel goes up to 35 i believe. Room looked clean but felt dated. Some of the walls in our room had been damaged by other guests suitcases over time and the hotel didnt seem to try to repair it. Bed was really hard and it was difficult to get a good rest. We could also hear the trains rolling on the tracks from our room location. Coffee in the room were instant packets and not very good. There arent any amenities but there are lots of things to do and eat nearby. For the price i paid for this room, i dont believe it was worth it. I will look for another hotel the next time I visit tokyo.

Nice hotel location and great staff service

The hotel located nearby the JR and bus terminal which makes it very convinient for us as we are travelling with a toodler. Moreover, the hotel is clean and comfortable and impressed with the toiletries quality that they have provided! Definitely will come back to this hotel for my next tokyo trip!

Handy location

Stayed here with our 9yr old daughter. First time in Japan. Friendly, helpful staff and nice clean rooms. Great location right next to Shinjuku station - easy for us to catch 1 train to Studio Ghibli Museum, the Narita express to airport and close to Shibuya. Shops and restaurants are within a 5 min walk, including a fantastic bookstore offering a whole floor of English books (Books Kinokuniya Tokyo) Buffet breakfast offers a good selection of food, yummy pastries and nice views.

Great convenience to transport, foods & shopping

Posted 03 13, 17
Pros: Convenience. 5-10 minutes walk to JR Shinjuku Station and the Airport Limousine bus picked us to Narita right at the hotel main entrance.
Cons: I needed to rent a wheelchair from the hotel as it may ease my mother's day trip. But the concierge told me that it can only be used in the hotel.
Location: JR Shinjuku Station, Takashimaya Times Square, Lumine Shinjuku, Flags Shinjuku, Isetan Shinjuku...
I was traveling with my 78yr old mother and the hotel's great location helps us a lot as we didn't need to walk to far to get what we needed. By the way, the view from our room was magnificent. Able to see sunrise almost every morning :-)

Excellent hotel.

Pros: Room very nice, quiet, great AC/Heat control, good lighting, bathroom not extravagant but fine.
Cons: Coke is $9 at hotel bar. Cocktails $15 plus. Didn't look at restaurant menu after seeing these prices.
Location: Very close to train station. Gave us directions to restaurant exactly to our preference.
Very nice hotel. Surprised a hotel of this level doesn't have Bell Service, but I don't like to use such anyway.

Downtown Tokyo-Shinjuku

Posted 02 19, 17
The hotel is hovering high above the Shinjuku train station. The views from the rooms and the restaurant/bar are spectacular. Get up early for a spectacular sunrise for breakfast.
