Great hotel. Very warm and polite service. Very clean and the English comprehension is better than Thailand. Expect to pay more for taxis and tours from this hotel than cheaper hotels. Safe area but there is not much to walk around and explore in the area. You will have to take a rickshaw or taxi about 5 minutes to pub street or the night market.

Got updraded to a better room but air con not working after two days got upgraded to an even bigger room, not able to control air con, too cold do had to turn it off at times. Had small black metal flashlight go missing from the table next to my bed. Hotel very grand but quite old, shower leaking water, nice swimming pool, spa water very cold. Breakfast good variety. Not far to pub street, $2 with tuk tuk.

They talked to me in the lobby and gave me tips about the town. I was treated with respect at all times. Also I might add that the swimming pool is huge and terrific.

Good location for visiting Angkor Wat
Great location near to Angkor Wat and the airport but a little difficult to get into Siem Reap. A grand old hotel which is showing it's age. Breakfast was good and the staff were all nice.

A dream
Entering Regency Angkor was a step back in time experience with welcome greetings from uniformed doormen and floor staff and the grand staircase framing the big lobby. Apart from basic and slow WIFI, hotel amenities were very comfortable, fridge, good air con, towels and cable TV. What sets the Regency apart is the extensive timber furnishings and decorations. It was as though someone had built their dream. The stone fountains, fabulous staircase and ornate panelling would have cost millions. Opened about 3 years ago, the place took 7 years to build.
